Picto - the Paint Robot

Picto sketches various faces

The painter robot Picto recognizes human face with CCD camera and then analyses captured data, processes and then sketches them into drawing. Like actual painter's painting, Picto expresses every characteristics of your face naturally and even it can afford to make your face drawing look younger or older.
The paintings of Picto are those of India ink which is popular in Oriental paintings.
In case of whites, it is very difficult to recognize face and hair as they are similar in color, but Picto recognizes it as well.

Similarly in case of blacks, it's more difficult to recognize face, hair, eyebrows. By adjusting lights, Picto draws those faces expressing every characteristics including even the scars on them.

Action Flow

• Step 1. Image capture
  Take a photo of the face of model on front of Picto by adjusting CCD camera
  
• Step 2. Control value
  By adjusting "Eyes Value & Sketch Value", make best fitting expressions of that capture face
  
• Step 3. Sketch face on paper
  Push "start" button and then Picto starts to draw as input
